Research profile

Jan Havelka is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Experimental Centre, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague. He is involved both in numerical analysis, namely the development of inverse solvers, as well as in the practical aspects of laboratory work such as the design and assembly of the equipment in the lab and performing experiments. His interests range from applied mathematics and programming to designing basic electronics.

Academic profile

Jan earned his Ph.D. degree at Czech Technical University in Prague in 2019 under the supervision of Jan Sýkora. The focus of his thesis, “Boundary Inverse Methods in Civil Engineering,” was the identification of heterogeneity in materials from boundary measurements.
